HYKE Conference on Complex Flows Analytical and Numerical Methods for Kinetic and Hydrodynamic Equations

Practical details regarding the conference

Lecture room:  The course will take place in Room C1/034 located in the Centre de Recerca Matemàtica (CRM) at the Sciences Building, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in Bellaterra.

 Secretariat: The Secretariat of the CRM will be available to the participants Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

 Xerox Machine: The University has a Xerox machine service located on the ground floor of the Science Building. It is open from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The price of each photocopy is 0,04 €.

 Computer facilities: The computer room of the CRM (room C1/018) will be available for the participants from 8:30 am until 6:30 pm. with the following username and password:

 Library: The library of the Science Building of the UAB will be open from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm on working days.

 Breaks: Coffee and cookies will be served during the morning and afternoon breaks to all participants.

Lunch: The Campus has some restaurants open for lunch. All registered participants will receive free lunch tickets to be used Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the “Bar Restaurant de Ciències”. You will find the tickets together with the documentation package.  Saturday, October 9 most of the campus' restaurants will be closed. Dinner*: A dinner party for all participants will take place in Barcelona, October 8 at the Restaurant “La Provença” (carrer Provença 242, Barcelona), beginning at 8.45 pm. Every participant interested in attending the dinner must sign up before Wednesday at noon at the Secretariat.  If you wish to bring a companion you will also have to register him/her by paying the amount of 35 €. (Additional information about the signing up procedure at the end).

 Cultural activity*: We have organised a guided visit to the “casa Milà” also known as “la Pedrera” in Barcelona. The building is a unique piece of architecture built between 1906 and 1912 by Antoni Gaudí. The visit will start at 6.15 pm, Friday, October 8, in front of the “casa Milà” and will end at 8.45 pm at the Restaurant “La Provença”.

Every participant interested in attending the visit must sign up before Wednesday at noon at the Secretariat. When signing you will receive extensive details regarding the visit. (Additional information about the signing up procedure at the end).

 Picture: A group picture will be taken during the course. We will inform you of the day, time and place to meet. 

Questionnaire: Following the directions of the CRM Governing Board, we give a questionnaire to all the people participating in activities at the CRM in order to assess their level of satisfaction. The questionnaire is anonymous and not mandatory, but we would greatly appreciate it if you could answer the questions and return it to us. Thank you for your cooperation.

Note about the signing up procedure: To sign up for the dinner and the cultural activity you will be asked to pay a 5 euros non refundable fee to confirm your reservation.
