Dates: June 20 to June 22, 2005
Place: Centre de Recerca Matemàtica,
Campus de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Bellaterra.
Coordinators: Carles Padró, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya
Jorge Villar, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya
Aims and scope of the workshop: Fundamental research on cryptology finds itself on the interface between theoretical computer science and applied mathematics, and its techniques draw on the theory of computation, the theory of algorithms, discrete mathematics, algebra, number theory, geometry, combinatorics, coding theory, information theory, and more. The aim of the workshop is to point out results, techniques and open problems derived from Cryptology and having mathematical deepness and interest. Topics include, but are not limited to:
  • Foundations of Cryptology
  • Information theoretic Cryptography
  • Security models and computational assumptions
  • Multi-party computation
  • Public key encryption
  • Digital signatures
  • Key management
  • Zero knowledge
  • Secret sharing
  • Quantum cryptography
