Apartments for rent in Vila Universitària for the participants of the DocCourse 2009

participants of the DocCourse

All apartments are located in Vila Universitària and they are fully equipped Studios at the Vila Universitària 2 (new staff and researchers apartment housing on campus), in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona campus consisting of a living room / kitchen area, separated room with two single beds, and full bathroom (some of our apartments have a balcony). Vila Universitària 2 apartments include a weekly cleaning service, cable internet connection (cable not provided), and SAF membership (sports facilities on campus). Vila Universitària 2 is right on campus and the closest train station is Bellaterra train station at the FCG train line.

2009 prices

*Price include utilities in furnished apartments (except for telephone), a weekly cleaning, internet connection and free use of UAB Sport facilities.

**The organisation will place together participants of the same gender requesting double occupancy studios. Participants might also tell us which participant they wish to share the apartment with.

We have a limited number of apartments available. Apartments will be booked in the order in which the bookings are received. To book the room you will need to follow the instructions below which include making a payment of 50% of the rental price. Deadline for lodging request is November 30. The rest of the rental price should be paid to the CRM in cash upon arrival. No booking will be considered until the receipt is received by the CRM.

Instructions for reservation of apartment and payment:

1. Send a message to Ms. Neus Portet (nportet@crm.cat) with your lodging request. Do not forget to tell us whether you wish to rent a single or a double occupancy apartment. In case of requesting a double occupancy apartment you have to either find your own roomate or let us locate one for you. The last case will depend upon registration so the CRM cannot guarantee that it will find one for every requesting participant.

2. Wait for the reply from Ms. Neus Portet confirming availability of your request and giving you a deadline for making the payment and sending us the receipt (typically, the deadline will be around 24 hours but shorter notices might be expected towards the end).

3. Make the payment (50% of the total rental price*) by bank transfer to:

4. Send the receipt by fax or e-mail (before the deadline given to you by Ms. Neus Portet) together with a letter with your name, type of studio requested (single / double), name of participant to share the studio with (if applicable), day and approximate time of arrival and departure, e-mail address, and University to:

5. Wait for a confirmation receipt from the CRM.

* IMPORTANT: Please make sure that the administrative costs originated by the bank transfer are charged to the sender's account. CRM is to receive the total 50% of the rental price.

6. You will need to pay the remaining amount during the first week of your visit to the CRM (cash only please).

Refund policy: All requests for refunds must be submitted to crm@crm.cat prior to one month before the beginning of the activity. After that time, no refunds will be issued. A maximum of 80% refund from the amount paid will be reimbursed.
