How to visit the CRM

Visits to the CRM are usually for periods between 1 to 12 months. Many visiting researchers participate in one of the Research Programmes or other Thematic Activities organised every academic year at the CRM.

Researchers in all areas of Mathematics wishing to visit the CRM are invited to  contact the CRM Director directly. However, preference is given to proposals which are submitted through Catalan mathematicians, and also to proposals strongly related to some of the scheduled activities. Therefore, if you are interested in visiting the CRM we suggest that you first contact your colleagues at the Catalan Universities and Research Institutes working in areas related to your fields of interest.

The CRM obtains fundings for most of its research visits through applications to open calls from the Catalan Government, the Spanish Government, and the European Community.

Post-doctoral fellowships

Among the visiting researchers of the CRM there are a number of post-doctoral fellows, mainly financed through one of the programmes listed below. The CRM Secretariat offers help in preparing the application forms to the eligible interested candidates.

EPDI fellowships

The CRM is a member of the EPDI (European Post-doctoral Institute for the Mathematical Sciences), a network of European research institutes which yearly offers a number of Post-doctoral fellowships. Click here for further information.

FP7 Programme People

Based on the long and successful experience of the Marie Curie actions, the FP7 Framework Programme of the European Community
has established a series of individual-driven actions for training and career development.
Several calls are being published with the aim of encouraging European researchers to stay in Europe and making Europe more
attractive to the best researchers from around the world. Among them:

Spanish Government fellowships

The Spanish Government awards twice every year (in April and November), a number of post-doctoral fellowships for periods between 12 to 18 months.
