Call for the Academic Year 2011-2012

The Centre de Recerca Matemātica invites proposals of Research Programmes for the academic year 2011-2012.

  1. Proposals should meet the requirements described in the Guidelines for Research Programmes and should include:

    1. Title and scientific description, addressing in particular: background, objectives, and perspectives of the programme.
    2. Connection with local research groups, and with groups from other Spanish institutions.
    3. Composition of the scientific committee (names, affiliations and addresses), specifying the name of the coordinator.
    4. Length, structure and activities planned in the programme.
    5. Most suitable period(s) of time for the programme.
    6. A preliminary list of potential participants having already agreed to attend (research visitors, post-doctoral researchers, and advanced PhD students).
    7. Names of participants requiring financial support from the CRM, and type of support.
    8. Additional funding expected, indicating the sources.

  2. Proposals should be prepared using the application form available at the Applications page, and a printed copy should be sent to the CRM (Centre de Recerca Matemātica, Apartat 50, E-08193 Bellaterra), including the coordinator's signature, before December 10, 2009. An electronic version of the form must also be submitted to crmcalls@crm.cat. Applicants are requested to submit by email to crmcalls@crm.cat a preliminary proposal before October 31, 2009, specifying at least points a), b) and c) above.

  3. Once a programme has been approved by the CRM, the organisers will be contacted by the Director in order to agree on the following:

  4. The scientific content of the conference and advanced courses planned as part of a programme should be available one year before the beginning of each activity.

  5. The terms of agreement between the CRM and the organisers will be jointly signed by the CRM Director and the coordinator of the programme.

  6. After the approval of a programme, a contact person from the CRM will be designated to assist the scientific committee with the practical and technical issues related to it. Invitation letters to the participants of the programme will be sent by the CRM.
